On 30 August, an opening ceremony of the Seeds for the Future 2023 project from Huawei took place.
The event was attended by the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov. The rector of Tashkent International University of Education Nosir Khodjaev also took part in the ceremony.
Submission of applications for participation in the project began in June this year for students of 11 universities of Uzbekistan. According to the selection results, 15 students passed the final interviews with the best results.
Among the project participants is a student of Tashkent International University of Education Kamila Nazarova. Together with 14 students from 7 higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan, she will travel to Qatar to study IT together with project participants from 15 countries of the Middle East and Central Asia.
Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov spoke to the project participants to support them before the trip to Doha, and expressed his opinion on the goals and mission of the project for the development of the IT sector in our country and the significance of this project for the whole world.
Seeds for the Future is Huawei’s global corporate social responsibility program. This project, first launched in Thailand in 2008, aims to develop local ICT talent, broaden their knowledge and horizons, deepen knowledge and interest in telecommunications technology among talented youth, and help the region further expand and support interaction and participation in the digital community. The Seeds for the Future project has been implemented in Uzbekistan for 8 years.
