GENERAL INFORMATION

1Tell us about the University.

TASHKENT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION” International University is one of the first private international universities, which is focused on training high-class specialists in the field of Information Technology, Business Management and Educational Process Management.

At the same time, TIUE provides training for students in the International Fellowship Program (IFP) -with the opportunity to gain recognition and admission to continue their studies at local and foreign institutions of higher education.

All TIUE programs are designed based on British and proprietary educational standards.

TIUE International University was established according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Establishment of Tashkent International University of Education” dated June 23, 2020, No. 404. The University has a License of the authorized state body for the implementation of activities to provide services of higher education for License No. 331829 dated July 30, 2024 The following link provides an overview of the University’s legal documents.

The University offers bachelor’s degree programs in UZBEK, RUSSIAN and ENGLISH. For the convenience of students, TIUE also provides full-time and part-time education. You can read more at the following link.

2What is IFP?

The International Foundation Programme(IFP – The International Foundation Programme) is an educational and academic initiative designed for students and institutions to provide an international level of education and standards with the opportunity for students to gain recognition and admission to continue their studies at institutions of higher learning around the world.

In this program, students are taught in English and are considered freshmen at local and international universities.

However, successful students will also be awarded the International Diploma upon completion of the IFP program OTHM Level 3 Foundation Diploma for Higher Education Studies (UK), which is internationally recognized and will allow you to enroll in bachelor’s degree programs at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, including programs taught in English at universities in the UK and other foreign countries. 4Does TIUE have a master's program?

As of today, plans are underway to open a master’s degree program. Once the appropriate paperwork and permits are in place, the information will be updated.

5In what language is instruction provided at TIUE?

Training is conducted in UZBEK, RUSSIAN and ENGLISH languages.

7How long does the training at TIUE last?

Duration of training for:

full-time education – 3 academic years (from October to June). Training is conducted during the day in the form of lectures, tutorials, seminars, practical classes, master classes and industrial practice.

of part-time education – 4 academic years (from October to June). The distance learning program consists of distance learning in the form of online classes during the semester, and two weeks of face-to-face classes at the end of each semester.

8Is there a license to provide higher education services?

Yes TIUE University has License No. 331829 dated July 30, 2024  issued by the authorized state body for the provision of higher education services. The license is issued to provide educational services indefinitely.

TIUE is created according to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the establishment of the Tashkent International University of Education” from June 23, 2020, № 404.

9Does TIUE have accreditation?

Yes TIUE University is accredited, based on Article 58 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education” , which states that educational organizations established on the basis of resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan are considered accredited for five years from the date of their formation. TIUE University was established according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Establishment of the Tashkent International University of Education” dated June 23, 2020, No. 404.

10What is the faculty like at TIUE?

Our faculty members are real experts and practitioners with extensive experience in companies and with vast experience in academic research. All TIUE faculty members are passionate about their subject and want to pass that on to their students. 13What specialties can I work in after graduation in Information Technology?

After completing the bachelor’s degree, graduates have the opportunity to find employment in the following specialties:

    • Software Developer (web development, mobile development or database development).
    • System administrator (installation, configuration and maintenance of computer systems and networks, ensuring security, reliability and efficiency of systems, solving problems related to hardware and software).
    • Data Analyst (examine large amounts of data, analyze and identify important trends, patterns and information that helps in decision making).
    • Information security (protecting computer systems and data from cyberattacks and unauthorized access, developing a security strategy, monitoring threats and installing protection measures).

21Is the TIUE placement exam affiliated with a State Testing Center?

The TIUE entrance exam has no affiliation with the State Testing Center. TIUE administers its entrance exams independently.

22Is there an age limit to study at TIUE?

All applicants must be sixteen (16) years of age by December 31, 2024.

23Can individuals with disabilities apply to study at TIUE?

Yes, individuals with disabilities may apply to TIUE, and please provide all references and medical reports. After reviewing them, the admissions committee will suggest possible options.

24WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PROGRAMS IN UZBEK AND RUSSIAN LANGUAGES?

Applicants must meet the following requirements for admission to these programs:

25WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROGRAMS?

For admission to the International Foundaton Program with English as the language of instruction, international and domestic applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. RequiredDocuments:
  • Certificate of completion of 11th grade (certificate of study from the place of study) OR diploma of lyceum / college (with attachment);
  • Copy of passport / ID card;
  • 3×4 photo.
  1. Academic Requirements:

Successful completion of the internal exam on:

  • English or submission of an English language proficiency certificate (IELTS 5.0 or above or equivalent);
  • math.

For admission to the Bachelor of Arts (Year 1) program with English as the language of instruction, international and domestic applicants must meet the following requirements:

Necessary documents:

  • A document proving 12 years (9 + 3) of education (certificate/diploma with attachment) OR International Foundation Program (IFP) certificate OR a document proving completion of the first year of a local/foreign university;
  • Copy of passport / ID card;
  • 3×4 photo.

Academic Requirements

  • Successful completion of the internal exam on:
  • English or IELTS 5.5 OR higher OR equivalent;
  • math.

26Can I apply to TIUE if I am a citizen of a foreign country?

Yes, applicants from a foreign country may apply to TIUE. However, the contract amount for international students will be different and is calculated in US dollars. More details on this at the following link TUITION PAYMENT.

27How can I apply to TIUE?

All applicants must submit an online application through the official TIUE website(www.tiue.uz / aplly.tiue.uz). That said, applicants have the option to complete an online application (or fill out an application form) at the University.

28Do applicants need to submit original documents for admission?

Applicants must upload a copy of their documents to the TIUE system when submitting the online application. Upon successful admission, the applicant will need to submit the required documents to the TIUE administration for an admission order.

29Will TIUE accept my IELTS or TOEFL ITB certificate if it is expired?

All applicants must provide an IELTS 5.0 or above OR equivalent certificate that is not expired at the date of application.

30Can I apply without an IELTS or TOEFL ITB certificate?

If an applicant is applying for an English language undergraduate program without an IELTS or TOEFL ITB certificate (OR equivalent), the applicant must successfully complete an internal English language entrance exam.

31What is the deadline for submitting an online application?

The deadline for online applications is August 31, 2024.

32What is the number of quotas for TIUE applicants?

At least 50 (fifty) places are allocated for each direction of training in the context of the languages of instruction (Uzbek, Russian and English). The University reserves the right to introduce quotas during the admission campaign based on the occupancy rate of groups by directions, languages and forms of study.

ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

33When will the entrance exams be held?

Entrance exams will be held from the months of March through September. Information about the entrance exam schedule will be provided on the official TIUE website(https://tiue.uz) and on the official TIUE social media accounts (Telegram, Instagram, Facebook).

34How much does the entrance exam cost?

TIUE entrance exams are completely FREE.

35Is it possible to apply to TIUE for a second major?

As of today, there are plans to open training for a second specialty.. Once the appropriate paperwork and permits are in place, the information will be updated.

36Are there additional documents that need to be submitted after successful enrollment at TIUE?

The TIUE Admissions Office will contact the student if additional documents are required.

37In what subjects will the entrance exam be conducted?

Applicants must pass a math exam and an exam in Uzbek, Russian or English, depending on the language of instruction chosen.

38When will the results of the entrance exam be announced?

The results of the entrance exam will be announced within five (5) business days after the exam, to the applicant’s registered e-mail address in the TIUE Enrollment Portal.

39What is the passing score for the entrance exam?

The total score for the entrance exams is 100 points for each exam. Passing Score – Based on the ranking, successful candidates will be selected up to the admission quota. More on this at the following link.

40Is there a possibility to retake the entrance exam if the result was unsatisfactory the first time?

Yes, you have the option to retake the exam before the end of the entrance exam deadline.

41Are there any past year questions to prepare for the entrance exam?

TRANSLATION

42How can I transfer to TIUE from another institution of higher education?

You can transfer your studies to TIUE by submitting an online application through our official website https://www.tiue.uz/ with the condition that you submit the required documents to the admission committee.

43What documents do I need to show in order to transfer to TIUE?

The following documents must be submitted when transferring to TIUE:

– a copy of your passport or identity card (ID card) and a 5×5 photo;

– original transcript;

– Extracts from the orders on enrollment, on transfer from one course to another, as well as on expulsion of the student;

– copy of the document confirming that the higher education institution has state accreditation and a license.

44What is the timeline for transferring to TIUE?

The deadline to transfer to TIUE is May 1 through August 31, 2024.

45In how many days will the translation results come out?

The results and conclusion of the application for transfer of training will be prepared within 7 working days after submission of the application.

46What universities can I transfer to from TIUE?

TIUE students may transfer to all in-state and out-of-state institutions of higher education for appropriate majors if the conditions of the institution of higher education to which they wish to transfer are met.

47Is there an internal translation at TIUE?

Yes, you may change your language and course of study until November 1, 2024 in your first year of study.

DIPLOMA

48What kind of degree can I get at TIUE?

Our University has License No. 331829 dated July 30, 2024 and carries out its activities in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Upon graduation, students receive a bachelor’s degree in their chosen field of study.

49Where is a TIUE diploma recognized?

In accordance with Article 31 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education”, diplomas issued to graduates of licensed non-state universities(https://lex.uz/ru/docs/5013009, https://tiue.uz/ru, https://stat.edu.uz/Univer-list.php paragraph 8) are recognized in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan on an equal footing with diplomas of state universities.

Upon successful completion of their studies, students will receive a Bachelor’s Degree Diploma of Higher Education and OTHM Level Diplomas (for English language learners only) in their chosen field of study.

50Is nostrification of a diploma issued at TIUE required in the Republic of Uzbekistan or abroad?

Nostrification of the Diploma is not required as in accordance with Article 31 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Education”, diplomas issued to graduates of licensed non-state universities(https://lex.uz/ru/docs/5013009, https://tiue.uz/ru, https://stat.edu.uz/Univer-list.php paragraph 8) are recognized in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan on an equal footing with diplomas of state universities.

51Are there opportunities for TIUE graduates to work abroad?

Upon completion of the bachelor’s degree, graduates will have the appropriate professional training and a double degree (English only) will give them a competitive advantage in their future careers and allow them to continue their studies in any country in the world.

53How and where is the contract payment made?

Payment for the contract can be made at any commercial bank. If desired, it is possible to make a commission-free payment to Universalbank (location and address). It is also possible to make payment by details via mobile application (Click, Payme, UzumBank – QR-code is required)

54Is it possible to make payment in stages? How many stages can the payment be divided into?

The payment of the contract amount can be divided into 4 parts and paid in 25% installments according to the schedule specified in the contract.

55What are the payment terms for the contract?

The contract payment terms are as follows:

25% of the contract amount – within 15 days of receipt of the contract;

25% – through November 15

25% – until January 15

25% by March 1.

56What happens if you fail to pay for parts of the contract by the due date?

If you are unable to make your contract payment within the specified timeframe, you should contact the University’s Accounting department, explain your situation and agree a possible payment deadline.

57Is there an option to pay for the contract on a monthly basis?

If exceptionally necessary, there is an option to pay for the contract on a monthly basis. This requires notifying the university administration and setting up a separate payment schedule in writing and paying the first installment of 25% of the contract amount to begin with.

58When and under what conditions will the contract amount change?

Based on market relations and market conditions in the field of higher education services, the University reserves the right to make changes in the amount of the tuition contract for one academic year. At the same time, the university has a policy of keeping the contract amount unchanged from freshman year to graduation.

59Are there any budget seats available for TIUE training?

Every year the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation allocates a certain number of quotas for grant places in all areas. Candidates are elected on the basis of a special examination among willing students. Currently, 35 students at the university are studying on a government grant. Information on grant locations will be updated once the appropriate documents are approved.

STUDENT SUPPORT

60Does the University have any sub-courses?

Yes, the University has an EDUCATION CENTER“.

The TIUE Education Center was founded to implement additional educational programs to prepare students of schools, academic lyceums and colleges for admission to TIUE and other higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

We enable students and graduates from high schools, high schools and colleges to explore academic opportunities at TIUE. This allows them to experience university life and adjust well to their studies. Overall, this approach makes a positive change in the personality of the student and all the components of success are deeply imprinted in their memory, preparing them for all academic challenges in the future.

61Does TIUE provide a dormitory?

At present, the university does not provide dormitory accommodation to students.

62Are there scholarships available for TIUE students?

TIUE does not currently award scholarships or financial aid to students.

63Does TIUE give campus tours to applicants?

Beginning in February, every week on (Thursday) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., university staff and student volunteers will host an “Open House” for applicants who want to familiarize themselves with the campus and see firsthand the learning process and the busy lives of our students.

64Does the university have a uniform?

Students are required to wear clothing that meets the University’s requirements.

65What will happen to students if the university closes?

TIUE International University was established according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Establishment of Tashkent International University of Education” dated June 23, 2020, No. 404. The University has License No. 331829 dated July 30, 2024of the authorized state body for the implementation of activities on the provision of higher education services.

The University carries out its activities in accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, fully complies with the licensing requirements, observes the quality of education, improves the material and technical base and has a strong and highly qualified faculty.

67Can TIUE students participate in the Work and Travel program?

TIUE administration does not prevent students from participating in Work and Travel programs with the condition of mandatory return to study. Students independently apply for these programs and fulfill the requirements of the organizers. The University can provide the student with the necessary documentation.

68When are students on vacation?

69What is the study schedule at TIUE?

Classes are taught according to the currently current class schedule. Study takes 4-5 days a week, and the class schedule is tailored to the classrooms and teachers’ schedules.

70Can students combine study and work?

The University supports all endeavors of our students. In doing so, students should assess and clearly understand their capabilities, how much time they can devote to work without compromising their studies. The University has a policy that LEARNING IS A PRIORITY, so you should allow plenty of time for classes, homework and exam preparation before taking a job.
