Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE) hosted an event dedicated to the spring holiday – Navruz.
This ancient holiday, which has been celebrated for more than three millennia, symbolizes the spring rebirth of nature, spiritual awakening and bright hopes. Navruz is an integral part of national identity and brings joy to every family and every home.
The Rector of TIUE Nosir Khodjaev and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of TIUE Sarvar Babakhodjaev opened the event. They congratulated the students and staff on the Navruz holiday and wished them peace of mind and prosperity.
In accordance with the traditions of the celebration of Navruz, delicious dishes, such as sumalak and festive pilaf, were prepared and they were presented to students, staff and guests of the university. All visitors were able to enjoy these dishes and appreciate their unique taste.
Navruz celebrations continued with a concert where TIUE students demonstrated their talents in singing and dancing. Also, students presented dishes from different regions and foreign countries, which were evaluated by the jury, and the best dish was chosen.
At the end of the event, the winners of the food and sports contest were awarded by the TIUE administration. In general, the celebration of Navruz at TIUE was a magnificent and memorable event that gave all participants and guests a feeling of joy and pleasure.
