More Than 750 Teachers in Uzbekistan Complete Beeline Academy Courses on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity

Beeline Uzbekistan and the Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE) have wrapped up an educational program on applying artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the classroom and the fundamentals of cybersecurity. The program drew more than 1,000 applications – nearly double the anticipated number. More than 750 teachers successfully completed the training and received professional development certificates.

The project was carried out as part of the country’s efforts to develop STEM education. Training took place remotely, in live interactive sessions, over four weeks. Participants were teachers of core science subjects – computer science, mathematics, and physics – from public and private schools, lyceums, colleges, and universities in every region of Uzbekistan.

The program covered topics such as preparing lessons, assignments, and tests with AI, explaining complex material using digital tools, working with code and algorithms, analyzing student errors, and cybersecurity in the educational environment.

“Beeline Uzbekistan is always ready to support initiatives in digital education and in education overall – for us, this isn’t a one-off project but part of a long-term strategy. We’re already thinking about new joint initiatives and see this partnership as a foundation for further cooperation. I’d like to take this opportunity to once again express our appreciation for this productive collaboration. The response the program received truly impressed our leadership: we initially expected around 500 participants, but the number of applications exceeded 1000 – the best confirmation of just how strongly these initiatives resonate, and how important it is to keep investing in the development of digital skills,” said Akmal Abdullaev, Head of Government Relations Department.

“Today, proficiency in artificial intelligence is becoming just as essential a skill as digital literacy. Our task is to give teachers not only knowledge but also practical tools that help make education modern, effective, and accessible. We’re glad to be carrying out this project together with Beeline Uzbekistan, joining forces to prepare a new generation of specialists and to build Uzbekistan’s digital future,” said Nosir Khodjaev, Rector of TIUE.

“Graduates of the Beeline Academy program – teachers of STEM subjects – have gained up-to-date knowledge in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Today they are applying these new technologies in the classroom, helping students navigate the digital environment safely, and passing this knowledge on to their colleagues. It’s especially rewarding to see interest in the program growing every year – proof of just how much it’s needed. Their drive to master modern technologies truly deserves respect,” said Shahlo Usmanova, Senior CSR and ESG Manager at Beeline Uzbekistan.

Professional development certificates were presented to graduates at a ceremony in Tashkent; teachers from remote areas received their certificates electronically. Teachers of STEM subjects from the Andijan region accounted for nearly half of all program participants (46%).

“This is already the third course I’ve taken at Beeline Academy, and it’s been time well spent. The AI course has changed my day-to-day work: I now prepare lesson plans, performance analysis, learning materials, tests, presentations, and even interactive simulations for my classes with the help of AI – faster and better. The cybersecurity course gave me something no teacher can do without today: the ability to recognize cyber threats and protect personal data – both my own and my students’. Opportunities like this for teachers’ professional growth are a major contribution to the future of our education system, shared Nodira Kasimova, teacher at School No. 158 in the Mirabad district of Tashkent.

Beeline Academy was launched in 2023, with Beeline Uzbekistan investing $150,000 in the development of IT education. In 2023–2024, 50 students completed cybersecurity courses. In 2024, more than 210 computer science teachers completed professional development in areas including neural networks, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cyber hygiene, Python, 3D graphics, and front-end development. In 2025, around 1,000 teachers completed courses on applying AI technologies in the classroom as part of the Beeline Academy and TIUE program.

Beeline Uzbekistan has received the international EMBRAS award and Top Employer certification for its contribution to talent development and corporate culture.
