Tashkent International University of Education (TIUE) hosted the Cybersecurity Day event dedicated to the protection of students from cyber threats and the safe use of social networks by young people.
The event was attended by employees of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Tashkent and the department of internal affairs of Yashnabad district.
During the event, in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the early warning of crimes committed on the Internet”, explanatory work was carried out to protect students and youth from cyber threats and the safe use of social networks and plastic cards among them. Students were warned not to disclose information about plastic cards to third parties, so not to fall into various frauds.
At the same time, the responsible employees of law enforcement bodies informed the students about the types of cybercrimes that are widespread in our country today (virus attacks, disclosure of personal information, cyber extortion, cyber fraud, cyber theft, etc.), the factors that cause them, and how to avoid such violations. The students were informed about security measures.
