Yes. The Faculty of Digital Technologies offers a Master’s program in Data Science. The program is designed for advanced study at the master’s level and focuses on working with data and digital technologies. Instruction is available in Uzbek and Russian.
What languages can you study at the Faculty of Digital Technologies?
Bachelor’s degree programs in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, and Applied Mathematics are taught in Uzbek and Russian. The Data Science master’s program is also available in Uzbek and Russian.
How long do bachelor's and master's degree programs last?
The duration of study depends on the chosen program:
- “Information Technology” — 4 years;
- “Cybersecurity” — 4 years;
- “Applied Mathematics” — 4 years;
- “Data Science” — 1.5 years.
What is required for admission to the programs of the Faculty of Digital Technologies?
To enroll in the bachelor’s program, you must submit an online application, provide the required documents, and successfully pass the TIUE entrance exams.
How do Bachelor's degree specializations differ?
- Information Technology (IT) — the study of programming, databases, web and mobile applications, computer networks, and modern digital technologies. Suitable for those who want to create IT products and work in the technology sector.
- Cybersecurity — protecting computers, networks, software, and data from cyberattacks and unauthorized access. Suitable for those interested in information security and countering cyber threats.
- Applied Mathematics — the application of mathematics, statistics, and computer technology to solve practical problems, analyze data, and build mathematical models. Suitable for those who enjoy mathematics, analysis, and working with data.
What knowledge and skills do students of the faculty acquire?
It depends on the chosen specialization. For example, students in the Cybersecurity program study mathematics, programming, algorithms, computer networks, information security, network and operating system protection, cryptography, data analysis, and other specialized subjects.
